Looking for something different to do for the holidays? Look no further than some of the holiday events in Newtown this season!
First up is the Annual Holiday Open House Tour which takes place Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00AM-4:00PM. This is an exclusive tour. Historic buildings and private homes are included on the tour, all decked out for the holidays!

The Half Moon Inn (Court Inn) will have open hearth cooking, colonial music, and re-enactors. Mulled cider and cheese will be served.
The Half Moon Inn is located at the southeast corner of Court Street and Centre Avenue. It is across the street from what was the Bucks County Courthouse from 1725-1813.
Tickets are $30. They can be purchased at the Half Moon Inn or the Stocking Works:

Newtown has a long history with our nation. The Historic Association was formed after a historic brownstone was torn down by developers in 1962. It had been built in 1757 and was "Washington's Headquarters." It was not the exact same building as the headquarters but was built from the same material on the same foundation. This was the place Washington used as his headquarters after The Battle of Trenton in 1776.

Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 PM - "Holiday Inn" with Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire
Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7PM and Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3PM - "It's a Wonderful Life"
Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 7PM - "White Christmas"
Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7PM - "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7PM - "A Christmas Story"
Sunday, Dec. 20 at 1PM - "Home Alone"
Thursday, Dec. 24 at 10AM - "Polar Express" - one showing only, free hot chocolate for everyone and Santa sleigh bells for every child
And everyone who brings a canned or non-perishable food item will receive half-priced admission. Food will be given to local food pantries.
