Margaret and I visited London and Paris in January of 1985, yes, in the middle of a snowy winter there. But we had a great time. You may have read about it under the Our Travels section of the website. One of our favorite places in London was Westminster Abbey with all of its rich history.
Just a note to let you know that I've posted a new interview under the Veterans section. It features my good friend from high school, Alice Chapman, who is a Colonel in the Air Force. She has been stationed in many places across the US and also lived in Japan. During her stay there, she visited Australia, Singapore, South Korea, and the Philippines. Her article features great information and beautiful photos!

Just a little note to let you know I started a Facebook group for Travel Bloggers 40 and Over. The blogging community is a great group, but sometimes those of us over 40 don't feel we fit in. So many great bloggers are young, single, and traveling all over the world. I thought maybe we needed a niche for those of us who love traveling but maybe aren't as active and have families and limited time and budgets.
So come on over and join us for friendship and support. We can discuss our travels, travel photography, and the nuts and bolts of blogging!

It's a great day to start off a new feature of my blog - Flashback Friday! I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of past travel days, from my Mom and Dad, my Aunt Rosella who traveled the world, friends, family, and my own personal photos. It's a way to honor the past and to find out what the world of travel is like now.
First up is The Bahamas!
Looking for something fun and exciting to do before Christmas dinner? Plan on seeing Washington Cross the Delaware!
It's an annual event on Christmas Day. Re-enactors row, weather-permitting, across the Delaware River to Trenton, NJ just like General George Washington and his men back in 1776. This was a turning point in the Revolutionary War when they defeated the Hessians in Trenton. Read More...
Looking for something different to do for the holidays? Look no further than some of the holiday events in Newtown this season!
First up is the Annual Holiday Open House Tour which takes place Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00AM-4:00PM. This is an exclusive tour. Historic buildings and private homes are included on the tour, all decked out for the holidays!
You can read her interview here:
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy!
I thought here would be a great place to tell you a bit about the sidebar to the website and what's new.
The PHOTOGRAPHY page features information and links to cameras, tips for great travel photography, and photographers.

The trips I'm personally writing about are those I've taken with Margaret and the one to Alaska with my Aunt Rosella. They're mainly a diary of the things we did from day to day, places we ate, visited, and photos, a place for me to be able to re-live all those memories.
- LONDON AND PARIS is the story of my trip with Margaret in January, 1985 while we were in college.
- 1989 FLORIDA is the story of my trip with Margaret in June, 1989.
The PHOTO ALBUMS section is a collection of photos I took on vacations.
- Denali National Park, Alaska with my Aunt Rosella in June, 1991
- Yosemite National Park, California with Margaret in July, 1990
- Surfers Paradise, Australia with Margaret in October/November, 1995
- Butchart Gardens, Canada with Aunt Rosella in July, 1991
- Planes - links to domestic and international airlines, their baggage policies, pet policies, and more!
- Trains - links to railroad transportation both domestic and international, including scenic train rides.
JEEP TRAVEL is devoted to all travel things that include Jeep tours and more.
If you have visited the main page, then you have an idea what this website is all about.
I thought this would be a good place to expand on the sidebar for easier navigation and a quicker way to find what interests you and to keep you updated on new content. Hopefully as we go along, I will be able to give you travel updates from around the world, links to the latest deals on air travel, hotels, tours, and more!
And I would love your suggestions for the site, articles you would like to read, ideas for interviews and content. If you are a traveler, artist, photographer, and would consider doing an interview with us, please contact me. Coming soon we will be spotlighting more photographers plus veterans including Margaret's husband, Mike Lapolla, who was in the Coastguard and my good friend, Alice Chapman, who is a Colonel in the Air Force. Also featured will be Bonnie Porter, a local artist here in Bucks County who has designed for many companies including Lenox.
Hope you will enjoy and stop back often!
